Hello and welcome to the web site of M5AXA a British amateur radio station located in Bristol England. Please feel free to click on any image to enlarge.

Having studied electronics for many years I went on to take the R.A.E in 1995 and became a licensed radio amateur in January 1996 under the call sign of G7WDF

In June 2001 I went on to pass my Morse Code examination at the RSGB and changed my call sign to M5AXA. Having passed my Morse Code exam entitled me to access those exciting HF (Short Wave) frequencies making contacts all over the World.

The Morse code requirement was eventually remove some years later and I was given the chance to change my call sign to an M0. As the M5 series of call signs were in the minority I choose to retain it in the hope it would be more attractive to those illusive world wide stations
